Our volunteers are amazing—and they come in all ages, from 17 to 71! They pitch in by moving furniture, painting, sorting donations, cleaning, organizing, making art, and so much more. Every bit of time and effort makes a difference, and we couldn’t do it without them.

Help With an Installation
We’d love you to share your time, talent, and skills with us. If you’re able to use a drill, assemble furniture, or hang window treatments, let us know! Installations require a lot of energy and effort, but they are very rewarding.
Volunteer at our warehouse
Our warehouse is constantly evolving, as donations come and go and there is a never ending list of things to be done. If you are someone who loves organizing, cleaning, and sorting, we can use your help!
Make or organize an in-kind donation
Do you have connections to businesses that could donate new mattresses, pillows, lamps, kitchenware, or cleaning supplies to Marvin’s Home? We love providing the young people we help with brand new items. Gifts in kind are the best way to make that happen.
Fundraise
If you enjoy fundraising or have event planning skills, please consider hosting an event on behalf of Marvin’s Home. In some cases the company you work for might be able to help us with a matching donation. We are always in need of fundraisers to raise money and spread the word about the work we do.

Join an Install
Our volunteers help transform empty apartments into homes for the youth we serve. If you can lend a hand with tools, furniture assembly, or window treatments, we’d love to have you join us. The work takes effort, but the reward is seeing the difference you’ve made. Please email info@marvinshome.org, or fill out the volunteer form above to find out more.
Team Installs
Are you a member of a group – a church group, a women’s group, a business association – and looking for a meaningful experience together? You can spend the day working alongside one another creating a home for a young person who has never had one. It’s not only an impactful bonding activity, but also a truly rewarding experience to share as a team.
- A team needs a leader who is the contact person with MH and takes responsibility for the install.
- A team must have a minimum of five people. We find six works best.
- All or most team members need to be able to lift and carry furniture.
- One participant needs to be able to drive a 10’ box truck.
- The team meets between 9:30 and 10:00 am on any day of the week, (weekends are most common) at the warehouse in Lansdale. The day usually ends between 1 and 3 pm.
- The minimum donation for an install is a $500 donation to Marvin’s Home. This helps to cover the cost of the day from gas for the truck to any new items needed for the install.
The very best teams also sponsor the family receiving their installation! Multiply your impact by sponsoring your installation at one of the following levels:
- Individual: $750
- Single Parent & Child: $1,000
- Young Family: $1,500 (3-5 people)
Individual Installs
Are you an individual who wants to be involved with installs? There are installs throughout the year that are made up of individuals who come together and form a team for the day. There are a lot of our extended support network who love to do this, so please know that opportunities are limited. If you want to be included on the list – email us or submit the volunteer form above and we will add you.
Individuals are asked to bring a donation of a laundry basket with basic home supplies such as trash bags, dish soap, toilet paper, etc.
